Know: Your Story/God's Story
A discipler is a person who mentors others in the ways of God. A disciple is one who is learning the ways of God from another. This starts with our story. A discipler asks questions to learn about their disciple's life and helps them see God's hand in it.
How did you get to where you are? What is your life story?
Have you had any God encounters? If so, what was that like?
Have you given your life to God?
What brought you to Awaken?

"If someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it. " 1 Peter 3:15
See: When was your last God encounter?
At this step our discipler helps the disciple to become a part of the church family in meaningful ways, to encounter God in community and through worship and Bible study. They provide loving accountability and encouragement to seek after God continually.
What is God doing in your life now?
What faith community are you a part of that is helping you to grow and learn? (i.e. men's group, recovery, serving teams)
How are you spending time with God on your own?

"Because of Christ and our faith in him, we can now come boldly and confidently into God’s presence. " Ephesians 3:12
Be: Who are you discipling?
Discipleship doesn't stop with you. Jesus calls us all to reach out and disciple others. Disciples make disciples. The minute you become a disciple is the minute Jesus calls you to disciple others.
Who are you discipling?
How is your faith journey inspiring them to follow Jesus?
In what ways do you need to change to be more like Jesus so you can better lead others?
