Is this a Narcotics Anonymous or Celebrate Recovery meeting? No, this is our own style of recovery group. Our idea is to provide a different type of group than what is currently available in the Wenatchee Valley, so that our collective recovery community can help as many people as possible. Many of our leaders are also leaders of N.A. and Celebrate Recovery, but we do things a little differently here. Our goal is to provide support for those in addiction recovery specifically through the 12-steps, community with each other, devotion to God and service. We encourage everyone to attend as many different groups and types of groups as are helpful to them.
Do I have to be a Christian to attend? No, you do not have to be a Christian to attend. We encourage people from all walks of life to come and find healing and recovery in our group. We do speak of our higher power as God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, but we welcome those who use other terms to be a part of our group.
What are the rules? The rules are similar to an N.A. meeting. We ask that you stay on topic when you share, speak only about yourself (no cross talk), and keep language clean. Please do not bring drugs or paraphernalia to our group.
What 12 steps do you use?We use a pretty standard form of the 12 steps, as outlined in "The Life Recovery Workbook: A Biblical Guide through the Twelve Steps." Although we talk about the 12 Steps in our meetings, we do not work them thoroughly. As such, we encourage everyone to dive deep into the 12 steps with a sponsor.
